Award-Winning Pinky Comes to the Playhouse

Starring Liz Jahren and David Templeton

Pinky won the Stage One Theater Arts award for Best New Play!

Don’t miss  your chance to see this wonderful new play by local playwright and performer, David Templeton (also known as  theatre critic for The Bohemian and KSRO radio).  David Templeton performs with the highly acclaimed actress Liz Jahren (Always Patsy Cline, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf) in this sweet, funny look at teen romance and adventure. As the grown-up David and Pinky  take turns telling their version of what happened years ago, the play swings back and forth in time, with the actors morphing into their younger selves and those of their nerdy Dungeon and Dragon playing companions. Inspired by actual events, Pinky is essentially fictional, yet profound and moving, a wildly funny romp through the minefields of teenage love and friendship.

“Pinky is a pleasure trip that packs a rock-solid punch. It catches you completely off-guard and smacks you right between the eyes even as you’re doubled over laughing. It challenges our expectations about life and love, realistic or otherwise. This is one profoundly moving show, one you just can’t stop thinking about.” Suzanne Angeo, For All Events

Pinky plays July 27 – August in the 6th Street Playhouse Studio Theatre. For tickets, Click Here or Call (707) 523-4185.
