World Premiere of The Independent Eye’s Frankenstein

Last Sunday, I had the great fortune to sit in on a rehearsal of The Independent Eye’s new performance piece, Frankenstein, inspired by Mary Shelley’s novel of the same name.  I am impressed with the depth of meaning  the creators Conrad Bishop and Elizabeth Fuller have pulled from their source material, as well as their creativity in giving life to the story through entrancing imagery, light, and sound effects.  Their puppets are not only visually striking, but often moved with amazing verisimilitude.  The duo’s rich experience as performers and playwrights, developed over a long career touring and performing across the nation and abroad, are palpable and impressive.  Don’t miss your opportunity to see this truly unique and haunting retelling of Frankenstein!
